So, why are you here?

Welcome, and thanks for being part of the 07-08 programming class! I know why I am here, but I don’t know why you are….., and I realize that being a programmer is not the end goal for all of the students in this course.
Please comment and share your goals. Why are you here? How did you get here (what prior experiences qualified you for entrance into this class)?

I am here to learn more about programming and the internet world. Taking this class will help me later on in college and possibly in my career. I got in this class by taking the Web Site and Page Design class my freshmen year.In this class we learned how to use Macromedia Fireworks, Irfan Viewer, and Adobe Photoshop

I am here because my schedule was so peticular and fit just right so that my fourth period was open and I got dumped in this class. But that is ok because I only have mediocre computer skills and need to learn more about how the web works and of course, programing

I joined this class because I find computers to be a fun and an interesting challenge. They have always held an interest in my life since I first used one. I think this class will take my understanding of how computers function (software wise) to the next level. Also I hope later in life to program java for mobile devices. I have only taken a web design class as far as formal computer teaching goes but i do a lot of research and learning about them in my free time also im a fairly quick learner at many programs. So that is why I am in this class

I don’t have any solid prior experiences. I did take computer classes in middle school, and i took digital literacy last year. At home i always break my computer, so i know how to fix a lot of things on the computer. I also have taught myself html, and a little bit of css. I have also owned a website, but not any more

I’m here to learn more about using a computer more than just the basics. I came into this class because it just happens to be on my schedule. I could possibly further my education using the knowledge I learn from this class.

I am here to learn more about the internet and how web sites work. I actually never signed up for this class, I just got thrown in it. Even though I didn’t sign up for this class, it might help me later in the future. I’m glad I am in this class because I love the internet and computers.

I joined this class mainly because, I wanted to. I basically want to try out everything there is to do on the computer, and programming is one of those things that I have yet to try. I have had a past of being crafty with computers and I’ve passed the web design class, so that is more then enough to learn to program. I probably wont go into a carrier in programing, but even if I don’t it is still a useful skill to learn.

I want to know everything I can about computers. It is the beginning of the year and I have already have learned things I didn’t know. And I have already taken three computer courses: Intro to Word, Graphic Arts, and Web Page & Site Design. Programming is my fourth, and it’s teaching me other things about computers I have yet to discover. This includes how programs work, and how to create my own. This class will be a useful asset to me.

I am in this class because i didnt want to take the Accounting class for Fourth Period. So i had Mr.Brown switch me into this class. Plus, I thought it would be a lot more fun, and a lot more useful to me. I don’t think I know much about computers, but people always tell me that I know how to do so many things. Last year i took the Graphic Arts class, and this year I’m also taking the Web Design class, so basically, I’ve been learning a lot more about computers, and I will continue to learn more and more throughout the year. My goals for this class are to learn about Programming, and eventually program something cool.

I got in this class because Mrs. Rodriguez told me it would be a good class for college and so that I can further my skills with computers. Also I took Web Design last year and it was a good class I learned alot and intend to learn a lot more from this class as well. It is also so that I can be more than just mediocre with a computer.

The only previous experience that I’ve had was Webpage and Site Design last year, that is the only previous “formal” computer class that I’ve taken at school, other than that, it’s just messing around with the computer at home. I joined this class because I just wanted to have a computer class this year because computers is a pretty laid back class. I don’t plan on going into a career where I’ll have to deal with programming and all this HTML stuff. Though I’m not heading that way, I think it’ll be useful for the future.

I have brought with me an arsenal of skills. Although I am still mastering web sites, I am a full of ideas and am very generous with them. I know I can create some truly amazing things with java programming. I came here because I was certain that I wanted to learn to create things using computers. I could have chosen 3D arts, but I felt that I needed more of something else. Knowing how to be an artist is good; but I wanted a way to project my skills. That is why I am here.

I am here to learn more about programming and computers in general. Computers are the future, so the more you know, the better of you’ll be. Although I have not taken a computer class before, I feel I am qualified because I spend a lot of time on the computer, I already know some computer languages, and I am willing and excited to learn.
